He is survived by: his children, Joseph Daniel Gillespie Jr. of Easley, Dana Michelle Atkinson (Gary) of Easley and James Darren Gillespie (Jessie) of Pickens; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Phillip, Brittany, Elin, Ean and Easton; his great grandchildren, Easlee, Addaley, Dalton and Blayne; and his sister Martha Jane Dodd.
