He was predeceased by: his mother Wanda Sentell Cassell; his grandparents, Lora Mae Sentell, Grady and Louise Cassell; his uncle Oscar Cassell; and his father-in-law Mark Anderson.

He is survived by: his father John W. Cassell; his wife Ashely Anderson Cassell; his children, Dawson Cassell, Kaydance Cassell and Jonah Cassell; and his brothers, David Cassell (Glenda) and Jason Cassell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Josh's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
