With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Porter of Pickens, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Mack Nealy and Mae Dodges Nealy; her sons-in-law, Dale Crumpton and Marvin Ooten; and her siblings, Nancy Anderson, Nalmer Lewis, Inez Etheridge, Bruce Nealy, Leon Nealy, Bessie Dodgens, Bill Nealy and Fred Nealy.
She is survived by: her husband Garvin; her daughters, Jane Ooten and Linda Lucille Burgess (Keith); her grandchildren, Charlie Crumpton (Jessica) and Carissa Parnell (Jamin); her great grandchildren, Amanda Crumpton Russell (Jeremy), Greyson Crumpton, Isabella Crumpton, Ayden Crumpton, Maisie Lucille Parnell, Madelyn Parnell and Silas Parnell; and her great great grandchild Remy Russell.
