Lawrence Jonah Lowell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Jonah Lowell (Pickens, South Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2026 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Eugene Lowell, Sr. and Florence Eleanor Wilson Lowell; his girlfriend Jeanette Burns; and his brothers, Ernest Alexander Lowell and Charlie Lowell.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Lowell (Wesley Finley) of Seneca and Matthew Lowell of Georgia; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Lowell, Kyler Lowell, Serenity Lowell-Finley, Maven Lowell and Trinity Lowell-Finley; his siblings, Virgil Eugene "J. R." Lowell, Jr. (Kris) and Carla Bowman (Donnie); and his aunt Lillian Powell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in L.J.'s honor may be made to Kimberly and Matthew Lowell.
