She was predeceased by: her spouse Jerry L. Blakley; her parents, Elighue Southerland and Minnie Southerland; her siblings, Jerry Southerland, Annie Catron, Alvin Southerland, Calvin Southerland, Dorothy Hudson, Leota Moore, Johnny Southerland and Brandon Southerland; and her sons-in-law, Bob Newsome, Sammy Davis and Danny Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Newsome of Williamston, Susan Davis of Pickens, Rena Hughes of Greenville and Michael Blakley (Lois) of Anderson; her grandchildren, Sherry Stone (Mark), Terena Goss (Jeff), Jeff Newsome (Tasha), Jason Davis (Tracy), Tony Blakley, Jennifer Clark (Chad), Joshua Davis (Tara), Crystal Green (Dustin) and Austin Blakley (Olivia); her great grandchildren, Lauren Liberty, Megan Patton, Reagan Cothran, Matthew Goss, Brianna Newsome, Kaitlyn Davis, Ashley Davis, Hunter Goss, Emerson Blakley, Kaylee Cothran, Kenley Blakley, Fischer Newsome, Lillie Davis, McCaylan Clark, Aiden Blakley-Green, Tanner Clark and Remi Blakley; her great great grandchildren, Colton Liberty, Vera Kate Liberty, Logan Baldwin and Lyla Patton; and her sisters, Hazel Autry, Barbara Yount and Thelma Collinsworth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church (830 State Rd S-39-204, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Lila's honor may be made to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Mission Fund, 830 Country Club Rd, Pickens, SC 29671.
