It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Belle Eloise Threlkeld Rutledge (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred James Rutledge; her parents, George Threlkeld of Washington and Erma Inez Loftis Threlkeld; her son Donald Eugene Rutledge; and her siblings, Doris Knight, Irmaleen Thompson, George Threlkeld, C. W. Threlkeld and Pete Threlkeld.
She is survived by: her children, Gabriel "Gabe" King of Central, Rachel R. Allan of Tamassee, Paul Rutledge (Melanie) of Easley and Alfred Rutledge (Stephanie) of Easley; her grandchildren, Amanda, Kingston, Jonathan, Cayden, Morgan, Jackson, Micah, Reagan and Henry; and her siblings, Claudette Elrod, Jane Richards, Mary Medlin, Jesse Threlkeld and Edith Bryson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
