She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Gunter Brezeale and Julius F. Brezeale; and her brother David Franklin Brezeale. She is survived by: her children, Diane Acosta of Easley and Scott Brown (Kim) of Easley; and her grandchildren, Cory Brown, Mariah and Michael Acosta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Malinda's honor may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Rd, #1430, Easley, SC 29642.
