She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Porter Evette and James Rufus Evette; her husband William Roy Simmons; her daughter Tammy Kelley; her granddaughter Brook Kelley; her stepmother Effie Anderson Evette; and her siblings, Porter Lee Evette, Ruth Keasler, Yvonne O'Donald and Evelyn Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Simmons (Phyllis) of Seneca, Jimmy Simmons of Pickens, Susan Finley (Richard) and Jeff Simmons (Cyndi) of Pickens; and her sisters, Sue Wallis of Pickens and Cordelia Godwin of Denver, CO.. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
