She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Pelfrey; her parents, Jule Merck and Retta Merck of Norris; and her siblings, Edward Merck and Frances Merck Sanders of Norris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Pelfrey Hunter of Fort Lauderdale, Tammy Pelfrey Owens (Butch) of Easley and Gina Pelfrey, RN of Easley; her grandchildren, Danielle Pelfrey McIntire, Ashley Owen (Nick), Taylor Owens (Brittany), Jude, Rowan, Knox, Violet, Anna James and Eliza; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Merck of Norris and Mary Lou Pelfrey Baumgarner (Bruce) of Williston, SC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
