She was predeceased by: her parents, Benhardt Alexander Flegler and Margaret Waterbury Flegler; and her brother Patrick Flegler. She is survived by: her husband Johnson "John" Cassell; her son Christopher Wade Hampton (Linda) of Lake Charles, LA; her stepsons, Matt Cassell of Liberty and Dave Cassell of Texas; her grandchildren, John Robert Hampton and Stephani Ann Hampton; and her great grandchild William Ivan Hampton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain View Funerals and Cremations - Pickens Chapel (105 Florence St, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (3450 Table Rock Rd, Pickens, SC 29671).
