It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Avery (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Carpenter Avery and Leo Kemp Maliece. He is survived by: his wife Susan Bishop; his children, Paul Avery of Anderson and Kim Collins of Seneca; his grandchildren, Christopher Avery, Emma, Eli, Cole and Grace Collins; and his sisters, Carol Bayne and Brenda Gaillaird.
