While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Wimpey and Francis Turner Wimpey; and his brothers, Ed Wimpey and Tommy Wimpey. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Wimpey (Kaitlyn) of Liberty and Melissa Wimpey of Pickens; his grandson Leland Wimpey; and his siblings, Carolyn Simmons, Rickey Wimpey (Marie), Steve Wimpey (Vickie) and Kenneth Wimpey (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elljean Baptist Church (605 Elljean Rd, Easley, SC 29640). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
