She was predeceased by: her parents, Ommie Lewis and Lois Simmons Lewis; her spouse Cecil Reid; her daughter-in-law Valley May Reid; her siblings, Violet Adcox, Barney, Charles and David Lewis; and her grandson Justin Couch.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Ann Couch, Ronald Wayne Bearden (Kathy) and Curtis Scott Reid; and her sisters, Faye Snipes of Easley, SC, Gladys Baker of Liberty, SC, Shirley Britton of Six Mile, SC, Dot Porter and Linda Hayes of Pickens, SC.. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
