She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Powell of Pickens; her parents, Avery A. Stewart and Dora Holcombe Stewart; her daughter-in-law Wanda Powell; and her siblings, Mary Sue Lesley and Charles C. "Bub" Stewart.
She is survived by: her son Randall T. Powell of Liberty; her granddaughter Melissa Smith (Brady) of Pickens; her great grandchildren, Will, Alex and Matthew Smith; and her brother William Robert Stewart of Sunset. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
