He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskine F. Cooley, and Ella Mae Cooley, Sr.; his grandson Aydan Fowler; and his brothers, Erskine Cooley, Jr. and Willie James Cooley.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cooley; his children, Reggie Jones (Teresa) of Lyman, SC, Marcus Cooley (Fredericka) of Piedmont, SC and Kimberly Grisson (Demetrius Fowler) of Piedmont, SC; his sister Betty E. Cooley-Wright of California; and his aunt Dorothy Cooley-Scott of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
