She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Lanier and Florence Mosley Lanier; her husband Frank Mitchell; and her siblings, Forest Lanier, Nellie Batchler, Ruby Wright and Joe L. Lanier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bridget Wiley and Charlene McConnell (Jimmy); her grandsons, Patrick Wiley (Lindsay), Brandon Wiley (Kailyn), Nathan Wiley (Lisa) and Cole McConnell (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Kendall Wiley, Nathan Wiley, Brantleigh Wiley, Clay McConnell, Hunter Wiley, Myles Wiley, Thea Rose, Kaylee Rose, Logan Rose, Aydan Smith and Ali Smith; and her in-laws, Dean, Carolyn Mitchell, Faye Mitchell and Nancy Lanier.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel (2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Mitchell's name to Rogers Memorial ARP Church, 1820 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
