Jessie Ely Smiley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, at the age of 82, Jessie Ely Smiley of Piedmont, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nillie Smiley and Acy Smiley; his son Barry Smiley; and his siblings, Wayne Goinez, Louise Dilts and Marie Smiley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Samantha Boozer (Ian) and Terrie Lemaire (Larry); his grandchildren, Skyler Finley and Stephanie Jalanivich; and his siblings, Jenny Schonefeld, Geneva Strain and Murel Gaines. He is also survived by several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Remembrance Chapel in Woodlawn Memorial Park (1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Chapel (1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Remembrance Chapel in Woodlawn Memorial Park (1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609).
