We announce the death of Joe Carter Marsh of Piedmont, South Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Joe will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Powers Marsh; his parents, George Marsh and Mary Annie Carter Marsh; his nephew Keith Marsh; and his siblings, Jerry Marsh (Irene), Anne Marsh, Sam Marsh, James Marsh, George Marsh and John Marsh.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Marsh-Emery (Daniel); his grandchildren, Addyson and Karter Marsh; his niece Kacie Marsh (Shawn Everhart); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ronnie and Jaxin Everhart; and his brother Oliver Marsh (Zandy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (101 Pisgah Rd, Easley, SC 29642). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Greenville Memorial Gardens (7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673).
