She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Edward Atkins; her parents, Frank David and Ruby Nell Gilbert McAlister; her son Scotty Wayne Atkins; and her siblings, Phyllis Finley, Kay Nelms, Barbara Simmons and Charles McAlister.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Waldon and Clyde David Atkins (Melissa); and her sister Frankie Simmons (Tony). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at the Greenville Memorial Gardens (7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673).
