He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Lee Short and Florence Porter Short; his sister Beth Holt; his daughter Jacquelyn Short; and his wife Peggy F. Short.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy Collins; his daughters, Samantha Fisher of Edgemoor, SC and Crissie Wilson (Charles) of Edgemoor, SC; his grandchildren, Brandon Fisher of Fort Mill, SC, Carbin Wilson of Edgemoor, SC and Caylee Wilson of Edgemoor, SC; and his sisters, Bonnie Myers of Winnsboro, SC and Patsy Edenfield of Winnsboro, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lando Church of God (3835 Eternal Ln, Lando, SC 29724). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
