He is survived by : his wife Linda Covington Brakefield; his children, Robert Brakefield, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC, Chad D Brakefield (Lanette) of Rock Hill, SC and Jennifer B. Catledge of Chester, SC; his brother Gene Brakefield (Betty) of York, SC; and his grandchildren, Dilon Brakefield, Payton Brakefield, Alexie Catledge, Alex Catledge, Dallas Ashley, Sully Marquez, Landon Reyes, Ashley Brakefield, Cole Brakefield and Marley Dockery.
