We announce the death of Stevenson Thomas (Piedmont, South Carolina), who passed away on October 1, 2026. Stevenson will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Williams and Fannie L. Thomas; his grandmother Mary Driscoll; and his siblings, Wilbert, Roger Thomas and Beverly.
He is survived by: his wife Avis Hood Thomas; his siblings, Nell Diane (Paul), JoAnn (Ulysses), Hazel, Calvin (Peta), David (Karen), Michael and John (Constance); and his sister-in-law Janice (late Roger). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, his beloved church family, colleagues, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Flat Rock Baptist Church (250 N Flat Rock Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
