He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mashore and Bessie Mashore of Pinewood; his siblings, Rosa Mae Mashore Canty, Joe Moses Lee Mashore and Nathan Mashore; his grandparents, O'Donald and Carrie S. Green; and his nephew Glencient Mashore.
He is survived by: his sons, Reverend John E. Canty and Bernard Canty; his siblings, Josie M. Kirkland and James Mashore (Lucretia); his niece Barbara Griffin (Louis); his aunt Grace Nelson of Hartsville; his uncle Solomon Green of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law Patricia Mashore of Thomasville; and his nieces, Tracie Mashore and Jenia Mashore of Highpoint. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two caregivers; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
