Barbara C. Mahoney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara C. Mahoney of Pinopolis, South Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward Cleland and Minnie Jane Riddle Cleland; her husband Orvie G. "Mack" Mahoney; her grandson Rod Cannington; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Thomas Cannington; and her siblings, Pearnease Gatch, Shirley Jordan, Karen Phillippi, Harold Cleland, Stacy Lee Cleland and Frankie Cleland.
She is survived by: her son Charlie F. Cannington of Pinopolis; her sisters, Ouida Dell of Sun City, Charlene Cooler of Sun City and Linda Lorick (David) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Chay Cannington (Audrey) of Pinopolis and Jamie L. Leonard (Steven) of Moncks Corner; her great grandchildren, C. J. Cannington (Kassie), Jordan Cannington, Drake Cannington (Gabrielle), Cain Stevens and Carson Cannington; and her great great grandchild Lawton Cannington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dial-Murray Funeral Home (300 W Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at the Oak Hill Cemetery (684 Broughton Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
