He is survived by: his wife Karen Brabham Gibson; his daughter Hazel Sanders Gibson Leaphart (Ryan); his grandchildren, Gibson Edward, Lightsey Castles and Monroe Sellers Leaphart; his cousins, Walter Sanders, Charlie Young, Callie Sugg and Tommy Harter; and his brother Francis Ewing Gibson (Frank).
