We announce the death of Wayne Blount of Pomaria, South Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell Garland and Lillie Mae Cromer Blount; and his cousin Mary Nell Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Dolly Spicer Blount; his daughters, Kimberly Blount Griffith (Todd) of Pomaria and Amy Blount Hendrix (Keith) of Newberry; his sister Virginia Ann Blount Bedenbaugh (Douglas) of St. Paul, NC; his grandchildren, Julia "Lucy" Easterlin (Matt), Timothy Griffith (Eric) and Katherine Griffith; his great grandchild Asher Easterlin; and his niece Amber Brantley (Mark). He is also survived by two great-nieces, a great-nephew and cousins.
