She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Clancy Dean of Port Royal, SC; her parents, Joseph Waters and Bessie Byrd Waters; her son-in-law Sonnie Edwards; and her siblings, Richard Waters, Dora Belle Heape, Mary Ann Gray and Henrietta Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Dean, Jack Dean (Michell) and Mary Edwards; and her niece Mary Beth Heyward. She is also survived by four grandchildren and numerous great & great great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Port Royal United Methodist Church (1602 Columbia Ave, Port Royal, SC 29935).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Port Royal United Methodist Children's program.
