He is survived by: his wife Tammy Brooks Hester; his children, William Dennis Hester II (KayLa Krantz Hester) of South Congaree and Charlene Smith (Kevin Smith) of Newberry; his brother Tim Hester (Abigail Hester) of Shelby, NC; his grandchildren, Kody Hester, Korbyn Hester, Eric Smith, Scarlett Smith, Savannah Smith, Nathan Smith and Kelsie Gutierrez (Mikey Gutierrez); and his great grandchild Natalia Gutierrez.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Family Home.
