He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Alma Templin and Amina Darlene Bunkall Templin; and his brother Larry Dean. He is survived by : his wife Debra Hawkins Templin; his grandchildren, Ethan, Landon, Natalie, Maddie, Harper, Joseph and Caroline; his sons, Jared (Stacey), Matthew (Chrystal), Nathan (Sherill) and Adam (Jennifer); and his siblings, Carlene (Bill), Opheikens, Carl (Shirley) and Ken Templin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (2 Glenn St, Newberry, SC 29108). A burial was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at the Hawkins Family Cemetery (144 Hawkins Ct, Prosperity, SC 29127).

Suggested memorials should be made to Fresenius Kidney Care of Newberry in care of the Social Worker to help offset costs incurred by local patients and their families during their dialysis care; 2850 Kinard Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
