With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gaynell Lake Amick of Prosperity, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 5, 2026 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lake and Enoree Lake; her husband J. Heyward Amick; her daughter Lisa A. Mowbray; her daughter-in-law Susie Amick; her granddaughter Madelyn Smith; her brother John Lake (Bertha); and her sister-in-law Ruby Lake.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Amick and Patricia Amick; her grandchildren, Kimberly Smith (Clay), Dixie Roche (Galen), Tanya Wallace (Robert) and Kris Amick (Kristi); her great grandchildren, Hannah Chapman, Ali Chapman, Clayton Smith, Kaylynn Bowers (Caleb), Brantlee Roche and JT Roche; her brothers, Alton Lake and Larry Lake (Emily); her sister-in-law Martha Amick; her stepgranddaughter Ashley; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Natalie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
