He is survived by: his wife Sallie Ruth Johnson Elgin; his sons, James Thaddeus Elgin (Sherry) of Starr, Wilson Clayborne Elgin (Amy) of Chapin and Neal Elgin (Susie) of Prosperity; his siblings, Wayne Elgin of Honea Path, Kim Green of Anderson and Judy Sutherland of Anderson; and his nieces, Tina Golden, Misty Johnson and Gaye Griffin.
