With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Mendenhall of Prosperity, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James E. Mendenhall and Estelle P. Mendenhall; and his brother Charles Mendenhall. He is survived by : his daughter Latoya Nicole Lindler; his grandchildren, Savion and Samaria Lindler of Prosperity, S. C.; his siblings, George R. Rikard (Barbara) of Newberry, S. C, Willie J. Mendenhall (Earline) of Prosperity, S. C, John A. Mendenhall of Newberry, S. C., Shirley J. Sligh of Newberry, S. C., Betty A. Mendenhall Norman of Charlotte, N. C., Kathy Mendenhall of Prosperity, S. C. and Janice Mendenhall of Prosperity, S. C.; his aunt Henretta Gregg of Greenville; his sister-in-law Elaine Mendenhall of Prosperity, S. C.; his niece Shawn Mendenhall of Prosperity, S. C.; and his friends, Furman Counts of Prosperity, S. C, Leon Kibler of Prosperity, S. C and Tyrone Lindler of Prosperity, S. C. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel (601 South St, Newberry, SC 29108). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah AME Church (1628 Ira Kinard Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127).
