He was predeceased by: his wife Ernestine Strickland Woods; and his parents, David Irving Woods and Helen Woods. He is survived by: his children, Paul Woods (Lisa) and Susanne Woods King (Charles); his grandchildren, Katie Woods, Abbie Woods, John Woods, Andrew King (Chandler) and Matthew King; his great grandchildren, Morgan Jones, Lincoln Goree and Marley Ruth King; and his sisters, Wanda Mabrey of Beaufort and Loretta Cupples of Dyersburg, Tenn..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1601 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
