He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Kee and Julia Sims Kee; his former wife Kitty Kee; his son Rusty Kee; and his siblings, Abbie Kee Turner, Jean Kee, Bill Kee and Jimmy "Cooter" Kee.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Melton Kee; his sons, Bruce Kee (Karen) of Richburg, SC, Phillip "Sputt" Kee of Richburg, SC and Larry "Fireball" Terry; his grandchildren, Chris Kee (Karla), Amber Catledge (Chad), Marty Kee and Merrit Kee; and his great grandchild Judson "Lil Man" Catledge. He is also survived by several other great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
