Lona leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lona’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lona will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardlaw Fulmer and Fannie Fulmer. She is survived by: her husband Colonel Cortez "Cort" Proctor; and her daughter Darby Proctor.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
