It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma Bowers Cooler of Ridgeland, South Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Pete" Bowers and Susie Varn Bowers; and her siblings, Clarence, Lawrence Bowers and Nina Bowers.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas W. Cooler; her sons, Thomas Wayne (Wanda), Craig Waring (Meredith) and Michael Dana (Samantha); her nephew Melvin Dale (Debora); her grandchildren, Gabrielle (Daniel), Michael, Mackenzie, Chelsea and Madison (Tyler); her great grandchild Brynn; and her sister Kathleen Barwick of Walterboro. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Amedisys Hospice Foundation in Erma's memory.
