He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lauer and Frances Lauer; and his brother-in-law Richard Losi. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Lauer of Bluffton; his children, Christopher Lauer of Maryland and Eileen Lauer of Bluffton; his siblings, Paul Lauer (Edna) of Florida, Judy Losi of Florida and Robin Lauer (Jackie) of Maine; and his grandson Sean Reitnauer of Bluffton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
