Richard LaFever Obituary
In loving memory of Richard LaFever (Ridgeland, South Carolina), who departed this world on August 4, 2025 at the age of 92. Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney G. LaFever and Mildred Childs LaFever; and his wife Betty Brooks. He is survived by: his close friend Judy Churchman; and his daughters, Sharon Symonds (Thomas) of Bluffton, SC and Danette White of Frederick, MD.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
