He is survived by: his parents, Steve Platt and Patricia Phillips Platt of Summerville, SC; his children, Michael Platt (Laura) of Ridgeville, SC and Brandi Farley (Justin) of Summerville, SC; his brother Doug (Tonia) of Summerville, SC; and his grandchildren, Harper Platt, Hensleigh Platt, Rowan Platt, Riverlynn Farley and Cade Farley.

Flowers are accepted or memorials in his name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
