With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Reid Whitfield of Ridgeway, South Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Edwin Reid Whitfield. He is survived by : his mother Zora Fields Whitfield of Charlotte, NC; his wife Sharon P. Whitfield of Ridgeway, SC; his son Matthew Whitfield (Jennifer) of Shelby, NC; and his sisters, Deborah McRorie (Robert "Bob") of Charlotte and Gale Sullivan of Waxhaw.
