He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carson Hopkins and Maebell Delay Hopkins; his wife Carolyn Hopkins; his daughter Susan Hopkins; and his siblings, Judy Rabon, Joann Privette, Billy Ray Hopkins and Carson E. Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Hopkins (Christy) of Fort Mill, Reggie Hopkins (Tina) of Rock Hill, Kelly Anderson (Trey) of Catawba, Maleah Booth of Rock Hill and Robin Bailey (Timmy) of Rock Hill; and his siblings, Vivan Hare (Larry), Donna Gross (Wayne), Luvenia Hopkins, Jerry Hopkins and Ricky Hopkins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (830 N Jones Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730).
