He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Barfield, Sr. and Maggie Mae Mackey Barfield; and his siblings, John "Buck" Barfield (Gloria), Dorothy Ann Barfield Rogers and Doris Jean Barfield Baker (Alton).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Faulkenberry Barfield of Rock Hill, SC; his daughters, Christine Barfield Gray (Jim) of Roanoke, VA and Pam Barfield Hay of Gastonia, NC; his grandsons, Matthew Gray, Brad Hay (Janet) and Michael Hay; his great grandchild Preston Hay (Annie); his niece Deborah Rogers Waldrop (Greg); his stepchildren, Bill Faulkenberry (Sharon) and Janet Jenkins (Gene); his grandchildren, Amanda Cutter (Jay), Ashley Faulkenberry, Amber Seitz (Eli), Casey Seitz (Will) and Gracelyn Jenkins; and his great grandchildren, Archer, Kai, Akida and Bow.
A reception was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel (2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grandview Memorial Park (620 S Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
