He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Owen Gardner Sr. and Lavinia Hamilton Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Janice Gardner; his children, Carlos Owen Gardner III, Doug Gardner (Nancy) and Katie Taylor; and his grandchildren, Rivers Ann, Ridge, Jack and Eleanore. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
