He is survived by: his wife Karen Mills-Burris; his son Anthony Burris (Takisha); his adoptive daughter Lori Mills; his stepson Robert Mills (Mitenee); his grandsons, Gavin of Rock Hill and Gage Burris of Rock Hill; and his siblings, James, Mattie Hutchinson (Fred), Angela Miller (Michael) of Ohio, Vivian Frye (William) of New Jersey, Doris Coleman (Ronald) of New Jersey, Pauline Jackson (Arnold) of New Jersey, Carolyn Burris of New Jersey and Delores McLamb of Delaware. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
