He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Presnell and Martha Lewis Presnell; and his brother Kenny Presnell (Pearl). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Brown Presnell; his children, Gene Culp, Jr. and Dawn Taylor (Thomas); his grandchildren, Alex Culp and Kamryn Culp; his brothers, Douglas Presnell (Linda) and Phillip Presnell (Tracy); and his pet Sherlock.
