She was predeceased by: her parents, W. Herbert Threatt and Louise W. Threatt; her husband Edward Lee Brooks; her sons, Edward Lee Brooks and Scott Lee Brooks; and her siblings, Larry Threatt, William Threatt, Jr., Mary White and Loretta Smoak.
She is survived by: her children, Renee B. George (Kevin) of Chester, SC, William E. "Ed" Brooks of Fort Mill, SC and Danny R. Brooks (Sharon) of Rock Hill, SC; her sister Betty Waldrop of Rock Hill, SC; her grandchildren, Michael Rodgers (Patti), Melissa Rodgers, Andrew Rodgers (Athena), Holly Doster (Jonathan), William Brooks, Kimberly Thompson (Tyler) and Scott Brooks; and her nephew Dennis Dowdy. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel (355 E White St, Rock Hill, SC 29730). A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
