He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar James Hamric and Dorothy Hamric Wakefield; and his siblings, Ida Mae Smith, Dorothy Louise Tichon and James Robert Hamric.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Williams Hamric; his children, James Kennedy Hamric, David Hamric and Tracey Hamric Haley (Mike); his siblings, Glenda Lee Flaker, Patricia Jo Iler and Richard Harry Wakefield (Nancy); his grandchildren, Madeline Grace Parkman (Maddie) and Mitchell Thomas Parkman; Michael Parkman. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
