With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Marshall Boatwright of Rock Hill, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lecial Marshall and Valeria Hall Marshall; her husband Wayland D Boatwright; her son Alan Boatwright; and her granddaughter Jennifer Boatwright.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Hoover (Gene) of Rock Hill, SC and Joan Strait (Raymond); her daughter-in-law Johnnie Boatwright of Bythewood, SC; and her grandchildren, Billy Strait, Amanda Wall, Jeremy Hoover, Angela Whited and Whitney Olsen. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel (2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Boatwright's name to Hospice & Community Care PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731, or Northside Baptist Church 1140 Curtis Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
