She is survived by: her son Leslie R. Herring (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Emily Iovanna (Paul), Mallory Munn (Thomas) and Kyla Herring (Tommy Rizzo); and her siblings, Waymon L. Carter Jr. and Sylvia Giles (AJ). She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren.
