As we bid Frances McElwee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Frances McElwee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. McElwee and Mildred Proctor McElwee; her husband James R. Patterson; her daughter Beverly Renee Patterson; and her siblings, Janie Vinson and Robert McElwee.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicky Patterson (Theresa) of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by several nieces and several nephews.
